Overview

Lala Kedarnath, the eldest and only brother of 4 sisters, runs a chaat shop that was started by his father. Lala promises his frail mother on her deathbed that he will get married only after he fulfills the responsibility of marrying his sisters into suitable homes first. What follows is Lala's relentless efforts of getting his sisters married while upholding his family values. At the same time, Lala also faces hiccups on the personal front, his romantic life with his childhood love Sapna. However, Lala's commitment to his sisters stands as a huge roadblock for his and Sapna's love story to take off. Understanding the importance of Lala's vow, Sapna decides to wait till his goal is achieved.

    Casting is ok. Acting is below par Story and writing is very dated and out of sync Platform being used to mock certain faith, which they could have avoided. Watch at your peril.

    When you give writing work to a Professional who doesn't even know the A,B,C,D of Indian culture, This is what you get. Writer Kanika dhillon has done the worst possible writing job for this movie. Acting of main actors is still quite good except you don't feel anything from story. Absolutely not recommended.

    Bhumi Padnekar is such a underrated star, she does exceptionally well in all her movies and this one is no different, she's the brighest spark in this movie.

    What I loved the most about the film is the beautiful balance it brings in terms of emotions. It's loaded with humour in the first half and there are some genuinely funny and heart-warming scenes including constant nudging from the sisters, teasing their only brother, Sapna desperate attempts to lure Lala and so on. Cut to post interval, and the emotional arc of characters, as well as the storyline leaves you immersed, and gets you teary-eyed more often you'd expect.
